Future Vision

At The Rooted Empress, our work today lays the foundation for a larger dream—creating a Wellness Campus in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex where women, children, and families can heal, grow, and thrive.

🌱 Gardens & Sustainability
We envision full community gardens where fresh produce, herbs, and even cotton are grown. These gardens will not only support our food pantry but will also provide hands-on education in farming, nutrition, and sustainability. Families will have the opportunity to connect with the land while building healthier futures.

🍯 Job Creation & Social Enterprise
The campus will include job opportunities for women, veterans, single mothers, individuals with disabilities, and those with vision impairments. Through programs such as beekeeping, soap-making, and wellness product development (herbs, honey, and handmade goods), participants will earn income while learning skills for long-term independence.

🏡 Transitional Housing
We plan to provide 3–4 housing units on campus for women and children in need of short-term support. This transitional housing will offer families the stability to save money, rebuild their lives, and prepare for independence with dignity.

Community Spaces
The future campus will also feature a vegan café, farmers markets, and community workshops—open to the public as places of nourishment, education, and connection.

🐔 Chickens & Animals for Children
Our vision also includes a chicken coop and small farm animals on site. These will provide fresh eggs, teach children about animal care and sustainability, and create an interactive learning environment that connects families with nature.

Our Long-Term Impact
This vision is about more than programs; it’s about building a holistic community where healing, education, and empowerment are woven into everyday life. Through sustainable growth, job creation, and expanded services, we will serve every corner of our community—transforming lives and planting seeds of generational change.

Through the sale of honey, soap, and handmade products, we will build long-term sustainability while empowering women to earn income, develop skills, and reclaim independence.
